Little clean hotel and staff was great. An individual and generally comfortable and reasonably priced room on ground level. Awesome experience there.
Wi-Fi was very poor.

The Riccarton Hotel is a quiet and exceptionally friendly place in a great location. It's just a short walk to the park, botanical gardens, shops, restaurants, and a variety of bars. Everything is spotless and well-maintained.

I recently had a delightful stay at a hotel that exceeded my expectations. the value for money was exceptional, with affordable prices and a great attention to detail. Secondly, the hotel's location was superb, with a variety of excellent restaurants close by and easy access to different malls and shops. Moreover, the staff provided excellent service, making me feel safe and welcome throughout my stay. Lastly, the rooms, particularly the ones on the ground level, were well-appointed with comfy beds and offered a sense of privacy.
All was satisfactory, with no major improvements needed.

Helpful staff even though upgrades going on. convenient location- near bus stops, train station, Westfield, eateries.
I gather renovations are on the way..was a little "rundown" and was only chosen as our first booking was no longer available due to the earthquake and this was found on an internet deal as a very cheap and convenient alternative.

During our Christmas stay, we appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee provided in the room, as well as the toiletries supplied. The location of the hotel was also quite convenient, being just a short distance away from the nearby mall and various restaurants. we enjoyed the comfortable and clean room that had all the basic facilities we needed for our overnight stay.
the bathroom could use some attention, as there were flakes of paint coming off. the lack of an elevator for the higher floors made it inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues.

The Riccarton Village Inn was still a construction site with workmen still in the process of repairs. Tv reception was very poor. This should have been notified in the booking.

Close to amenities. Room is cleaned everyday. Facilities are good and well-maintained - even it was under renovation when we stayed there.
Internet access at a poor 50mb quota. Seriously, for a week? Hardly used it for few hours and already reached the quota.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room at Riccarton. Everything, from the sink to the curtains and even the shower, was spotless. Despite having noisy neighbors, I was impressed by how quiet the room was. The shower pressure was amazing, and the air conditioning provided much-needed relief after a hot day exploring. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and comfort.
